Scampi are a small, prawn-like animal with long, thin claws. A small clawed lobster with a medium to firm texture and a white, sweet tasting flesh. Tasting in between a prawn and lobster they are great to cut in half and throw on the bbq with a garlic butter sauce. They also make a compliment for any pasta dish.
